Pro tip: You can "give" your tools to a family member for free. Then if you need it again you can borrow it from them for free. Plus then they get to use it for free. Everybody wins.

I don't know if everyone is like this or just me, but i love the feeling of something being so worn out from years of use. When your hand just sinks in the grooves made from wear over the years it makes me feel like i got my money worth and don't waste anything.

Hm. It's two sides to every story and honestly, some people don't ghost others just for fun. They have a reason sometimes, and it's usually a series of small toxic things building up over time until they finally go cold turkey on it all and ghost them. Of course people who constantly get ghosted ALWAYS claim "they didn't do anything", but that's not always the case. I'm not saying that's the case for the friend of 20 years, but just in general. I've personally never ghosted someone just because I was bored or felt like spontaneously hurting their feelings just because; it was for my safety and sanity.

Thiers just no reflection of personality in the house. I guess if you have that many kids it's easier to take care of it just seems so boring to me. I have to have comfort things around me and art but my daughters house is she struggles to not have things because it's easier for her. To each thier own.

Your channel came up on my feed tonight, and I am so thankful that it did. I am also on the minimalist journey, and I’ve enjoyed binge watching your videos tonight. But when I found the “unlisted” video (that’s how YT lists it) about why you quit your pastoring job, I knew God was talking to me. Your description of what happened to you sound exactly like what happened to me 15 years ago. I had a huge passion for the ministry and was at church 4 days a week, not to mention having a FT job and raising 2 kids as a single mother. This was a recipe for disaster, and in the end, I had massive burnout. I felt like I was neglecting my kids, and my passion was long gone. Thank you so so much for sharing your story. I never felt like I could share my story with anyone, which compounded the problem. Your story really helped me to see that there are others out there who experience this. As anyone in Ministry knows, the calling never goes away, and I loved seeing how you handled your situation. I will continue watching your videos. Very inspiring stuff

Taking free things is GOOD. If the goal is to be utilitarian, then start a compost bin and take whatever waste biomass you can and incorporate it. If it is going to waste, then you can profit from it.

I just started this video and I was AWWWWW on the kitty!!! I watched one of your other videos this am and spent my afternoon decluttering my car and cleaning it all up and I feel so good! But now I have to do inside my apt! Love you guys!

  • @lauralonati7048

I love you guys but HELP! My problem is I am very sentimental and especially my Mothers things. She died 3 years ago and I am very traumatized still. We were very close. I struggle with things like my elephant collection that I started at age 11. I have already decluttered a bunch of them. These things have deep meaning to me. I live in a very small apt with my daughter. I have decluttered SO much stuff it’s unreal but it is still cluttered but we have two cats and so cat trees every window. I feel stressed cause of no room. I hope we can move next year but idk know. Been in this tiny apt for 6 years! My daughter has a billion movies she won’t get rid of. I can only do my stuff. I still have my wedding dress from 1980 from my ex husband because my mother bought it for me and had it professionally cleaned. So I am attached to the memory of my wedding and also major guilt that my mother bought it and had it cleaned! I got divorced in 1984. That dress is in a huge box under my bed! I finally got it out and it sits in the living room! It’s so painful to me emotionally. I know some things gotta go. I am a super sensitive person so can you address this issue for people like me!? Help!

Wrong. I have had things that I hadn't used in a couple of years and started using them again (things worth 100's of dollars). Although, in all fairness, not all advice is going to resonate the same with everyone. The rest of what he said has been said previously by others many, many times in books articles, videos, and podcasts. IMHO He seems like a sincere and genuine enough guy, but nothing new here, folks.
